Ethical Hacking

What is your reputation worth?

Cyber AttacksThe continuous evolution of hacking techniques and associated vulnerabilities mean that what was secure yesterday may not be today. Shearwater Solutions recognise the constant demands required to stay at the forefront of hacking trends and techniques. This awareness saw the creation of Shearwater Ethical Hacking, a specialist department of Shearwater Solutions focused exclusively on penetration testing, vulnerability assessments and research.

Every Shearwater Ethical Hacking team member attends regular training events to ensure they retain their high skill levels. Our partnership with the SANS institute sees us attending many of their courses including SEC560: Network Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking, SEC660: Advanced Penetration Testing, Exploits, and Ethical Hacking, and SEC542: Web App Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking to name a few. They also attend some of the premier hacking conferences in the world such as Black Hat and Defcon in the USA.

To further improve our performance, Shearwater Ethical Hacking utilises internationally recognised methodologies such as OWASP, NIST, OSSTMM, the Penetration Testing and Execution Standard (PTES), and the Penetration Testing Framework. As well as the Australian Government Security Policies and Guidelines to ensure that all testing performed is thorough, consistent and comprehensive.

We also employ a number of Payment Card Industry (PCI) qualified Quality Security Assessor’s (QSA’s) to ensure we understand the specific requirements imposed when performing penetration testing and vulnerability assessments for compliance.
