We are looking for a Security Solutions Account Manager to join our Canberra Team.

About the Role:

We build genuine relationships with our customers so that we can deliver the right information security solution to meet their needs. As part of our small Sales team you will be responsible for managing a number of allocated accounts as well as business development activities. You’ll be fully supported by the Sales Team Leader and the rest of the highly engaged Sales team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them to understand their information security needs.
  • Analyzing sales data within allocated accounts and developing plans to address gaps.
  • Maintaining allocated vendor relationships.
  • Designing and implementing a sales plan that expands Shearwater’s customer base and ensures its strong presence within nominated accounts and sectors.
  • Assisting the Marketing and Sales departments with account targeting and opportunity planning.
  • Developing and implementing new sales initiatives to capture target client segments.
  • Liaising with technical team members to develop proposal documentation.

What we are looking for:

  • Tertiary education with security/technical qualification is highly desirable.
  • 2+ years’ experience working in a sales role.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Experience in IT/ICT sales (preferred).
  • Proven history of building long-term and effective customer relationships
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Highly organised, and self-motivated.
  • Someone who enjoys a laugh & wants to work with an amazing company!

Penetration Testers

About the Role

We are looking for a number of experienced Penetration Testers to join our team in Canberra, or if you live in other parts of Australia, we have one role which can be based from home. The successful candidates will:

  • Work with a diverse range of customers to identify and solve security problems, both in person and remotely.
  • Undertake application, network, systems and infrastructure penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
  • Perform social engineering and physical security assessments and/or undertake secure code reviews, where appropriate.
  • Prepare high quality reports detailing security issues, making recommendations and identifying solutions.
  • Assist account managers with technical aspects of engagement scoping.
  • Maintain and improve penetration testing processes and methodologies.
  • Pass on knowledge and mentor other Security Consultants within the team.

What you will bring to Shearwater

Our newest team member will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ demonstrated experience working in penetration testing
  • Penetration Testing certifications such as SANS, OSCP, CREST CRT or CCT (Applications or Infrastructure) or other.
  • Proven experience in security assessment tools and distributions.
  • Strong understanding of information security principles and security technologies.
  • Effective time management capability; able to organise and plan own work and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong work ethic, a passion for information security and a drive to continuously learn.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • AGSVA clearance of NV1 or higher is a bonus.

Security Consultant

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing assessment based activities around the ISM/PSPF
  • Performing technical and non-technical Threat Risk Assessments and Security Reviews
  • Liaise with clients both in person and via remote means
  • Being responsible for your deliverables and KPIs
  • Writing and delivering customer deliverables and documentation

Requirements:

  • A current Australian Baseline clearance or higher is a mandatory requirement
  • Familiarity with IT Security Industry or Government Security policy, such as ISM/PSPF
  • A technical background in one or more of network, system and application architectures
  • A knowledge of information security principles

Nice to have:

  • A CISSP, CISM or are actively working towards these
  • Experience in any of the following:
    • Conducting Risk Assessments
    • Implementing or auditing ISO 27001

You’ll also need to bring to the table:

  • A desire to work with different customers and perform a variety of security related activities
  • A good understanding of network design, operations and protocols
  • The willingness to travel and work flexible hours.

This role is ideally suited to someone who has been in the Information Security – either in Government or Private Industry – for a few years and is looking to progress their career, grow their skills quickly and have fun doing it!
